Speakers
Fairing speakers first. Full-range coaxials, or coaxial horns if you ride fast and want it loud. Then bag lids, lowers, or a Tour-Pak when you want sound behind you too.
Rear speakers
Cicada Audio speakers, amps, and DSP, installed and tuned by one builder in our Pompano Beach shop. Built for Touring and CVO bikes, and built to stay clean when the throttle is open.
A stock Harley radio sounds fine in the garage. At 80 on I-95, with the wind on your chest and the pipes behind you, it turns into noise. That is the problem we solve.
Our bar is simple: music you can still hear, clean, past 100 miles an hour. Getting there takes three things working together. Speakers efficient enough to throw sound into open air, an amplifier with real power in reserve, and a tune that keeps it clear instead of just loud.
Harley audio is the main thing we do. Everything else in the shop sits underneath it.
Tank off, fairing open. This is where a system is won or lost.Every build comes down to the same four choices. We walk you through each one before anything is ordered.
Fairing speakers first. Full-range coaxials, or coaxial horns if you ride fast and want it loud. Then bag lids, lowers, or a Tour-Pak when you want sound behind you too.
Rear speakersA factory radio cannot drive serious speakers on its own. A Cicada amplifier gives them the power and the headroom, in a compact package that tucks out of sight.
The part most installs skip. Crossovers, EQ, and levels set for your bike, your speakers, and your ear, so it stays clear when you turn it all the way up.
Keep the factory radio and its hand controls, or step up to a CarPlay head unit on bikes that take one.
Radio upgradesTwo fairing speakers and an amplifier. The biggest single jump over stock, and the right place to start for most riders.
Fairing speakers plus saddlebag lids, on four channels. Sound that wraps around you and your passenger instead of only coming at you.
Fairing, bags, and more wherever the bike has room, with a DSP amplifier running the whole thing. This is the one you hear from the far end of the lot.
Cicada builds complete systems for 2014 to 2023 Street Glide and Road Glide fairings and for the 2024 and newer fairings. We match the system to your exact year and model. See which Cicada system fits your bike.

APEX Baggers is a listed Cicada Audio dealer, so the system is sold, installed, and tuned by the same shop.

An audio install already means the fairing comes off, the tank comes up, and the bags come apart. That is most of the labor of a custom build, already done.
So that is when our riders change the bars, the lighting, the wheels, and the suspension. Your bike is not passed down a line. One builder takes it apart, builds it, and puts it back together, and it only comes apart once.
Every panel off, laid out, and waiting“Every once in a while, you come across someone who not only is really skilled at what they do…but they also enjoy the heck out of what they do, to the point where they are just excited as the customer, about the work they’re about to …”
That is the whole point of the build. Efficient speakers, real amplifier power, and a proper tune are what keep music clear over wind and exhaust. The clips on this page were filmed on a phone outside the shop, so you can judge it for yourself.
No. Most systems keep the factory radio and its hand controls and add the amplifier, DSP, and speakers behind it. If your radio is the weak link, we will tell you, and we can replace it.
Cicada Audio, almost exclusively. Speakers, amps, and DSP made for motorcycles. APEX Baggers is a listed Cicada Audio dealer, and every system is installed and tuned by us. More on why we chose Cicada.
Real power draws real current, so the battery and charging system are part of the conversation on every build. We size the system to what your bike can feed.
Mostly Harley Touring models: Street Glide, Road Glide, Road King, Ultra Limited, CVO, and trikes. See the bikes we build, and ask us about anything that is not on the list.
It depends on the system. A front stage is a much shorter job than a full build with bag lids. We give you a completion date up front.
